Overview
Heritage Institute of Technology is an autonomous institution established in 2001 in Kolkata, West Bengal. Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata (HITK) is among the six institutes managed by the Kalyan Bharti Trust. It is recognized by UGC and approved by AICTE. The institute is affiliated with MAKAUT. Heritage Institute of Technology is also accredited by NAAC “A” Grade. According to the IIRF Ranking 2023, the Heritage Institute of Technology ranks 147th under the “Engineering” category among all the Indian Colleges. Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata offers NBA-accredited B.Tech and M.Tech programmes in various specializations. Apart from these courses, the institute also offers MCA courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level respectively. Heritage Institute of Technology's fee structure ranges from INR 2 Lakhs to INR 3.67 Lakhs. It also offers B.Tech Lateral courses in the same specialisations for three years. A total of 1,020 B.Tech seats are available at Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata. Admission to 80% of B.Tech seats is based on merit in WBJEE and 10% of seats are reserved for JEE Mains candidates. Additionally, the remaining 10% of seats will be granted through management quota to candidates having a valid rank in WBJEE/ JEE Mains. Candidates applying for B.Tech Lateral Entry programs must have qualified for JELET conducted by the WBJEE Board. For HITK M.Tech admissions, the applicants need to appear for GATE or PGET

Admissions
