Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad (IIT Dharwad) is an autonomous premier Science and Technology Institute established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India in 2016 under the mentorship of IIT Bombay. Academic activities at IIT Dharwad commenced in July 2016 with B.Good infrastructure, satisfied sports facilities, satisfied faculty and average placements. Placements: Overall, the placements at IIT Dharwad are average to good. About 90 percent of the students have been placed last year. Admissions
Admission to IIT Dharwad's B.Tech programs is based on the candidate's performance in the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced). Candidates must first qualify in the JEE Main examination to be eligible for JEE Advanced. After clearing JEE Advanced, candidates participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling process, where they can select IIT Dharwad as their preferred institution. The final seat allocation considers the candidate's rank, preferences, and availability of seats. For M.Tech admissions, candidates need a valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score, followed by participation in the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) rounds. M.Sc. admissions are based on the Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) scores. Ph.D. admissions require a master's degree in a relevant field, and candidates may need to appear for an interview or written test conducted by the institute.
Scholarship
