Overview
NALSAR University of Law in Hyderabad was established in 1998. It is an autonomous educational institution engaged in teaching, research and extension activities in law and allied disciplines.NALSAR has emerged as a leading destination for legal education in India and its graduates have made a mark in career avenues such as litigation, the judicial services, teaching, research, social advocacy, international organisations and transactional lawyering among others. It has been ranked as the No.1 law school in India as per the India Today–Nielsen Survey for the years 2008, 2011 and 2013. It was ranked as the top law school by Outlook Magazine in 2012.
The University offers full-time UG, PG, doctorate, and diploma programmes in various fields of Law and Management. Apart from the full-time programmes, the University also offers part-time programmes under the NALSAR Directorate of Distance Education (DDE).

Admissions
NALSAR offers a five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program. Candidates must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates). Admission is based on performance in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). The university also offers one-year LL.M. and various doctoral programs, with admissions criteria detailed on the official website.
