Overview
The National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJA) is a public university in Guwahati, Assam, India that was established in 2009. It is the first National Law University (NLU) in the North East region of India.
The NLUJAA provides BA-LLB (Hons) as a five-year integrated course and LLM as a one-year degree programme. The University also offers PhD in law. The 60-acre lush green campus is situated in the locality of Amingaon on the outskirts of Guwahati. The campus has the Academic building and the Administrative building as well as the hostels for boys and girl respectively.

Admissions
NLUJAA offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in law. Admission to the five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program requires candidates to have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) and to qualify through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). For the one-year LL.M. program, applicants must hold an LL.B. degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) and qualify through CLAT-PG. Prospective Ph.D. candidates should possess an LL.M. degree with a minimum of 55% marks and must undergo the university's entrance examination and interview process. Scholarship
NLUJAA offers the 'Merit Cum Means Scholarship Scheme' to support economically underprivileged students enrolled in the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program. The scholarship is categorized into three tiers based on academic performance and financial need, with eligibility criteria including a minimum CGPA, no backlog papers, at least 75% attendance, a conduct certificate, and a family income below ₹8,00,000.
